Join us for lunch and a discussion with two of San Diego’s distinguished judges: the Honorable Laura S. Taylor, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California, and the Honorable Timothy B. Taylor of the California Superior Court for the County of San Diego.  This moderated discussion will explore facets of the intersection of bankruptcy and state court litigation. Topics will include what happens when one party to a lawsuit files bankruptcy, judicial estoppel based on bankruptcy schedules and pleadings, obtaining state court judgments that can eliminate the later need for extensive litigation in bankruptcy court, and other procedural and practical pointers that will help bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy court practitioners alike.

REGISTRATION FEES ARE $5 MORE AT THE DOOR, SO PLEASE PRE-REGISTER ONLINE IF POSSIBLE.

Application for renewal of CA MCLE provider status is pending. Attendees will be notified immediately when renewal of provider status has been granted.
