SB-1099 made some dramatic changes to California Civil Code §§ 2983.3, Code of Civil Procedure §§ 703.140, 704.010, 704.050, 704.111, 704.113, and California Financial Code § 22329. Changes include the demise of ipso facto clauses, increased exemption amounts, and the recapture of post-petition appreciation. The panel will discuss these changes and how they will impact practice in San Diego County.
